Central Valley Chapter Meeting
The Central Valley Chapter Members along with Miguel Arias, California State Central Vice President who traveled from Sacramento to meet and update the members on what is going on at the state and national levels. The Central Valley Chapter has been conducting training and informational training in conjunction with the Tulare County Office of Education CHOICE PROGRAM. Our presentations have been in the areas of drug use by students in the middle and high schools, School Safety, Education, Vehicle and Penal Codes and their relationship in dealing with issues occurring in the schools.
Additionally, the chapter is expanding their programs to include parents, law enforcement personnel, youth, school officials plus officers from the state department of corrections and most importantly the parents and other interested adults in efforts to interact together in addressing the problems with drug abuse, suicides and gangs. The combined efforts have produced some very interesting and ideas for addressing these issues. The adage " It takes a village to raise a child" reflects the road we must take to effectively create positive change
