NLPOA Fresno members and Fresno County Sheriff Office members with the toys and gifts
On Tuesday, December 13, 2016, Operations Santa Claus traveled to Valley Children’s Hospital. The NLPOA Fresno County Chapter and the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, with Sheriff Margaret Mims were joined by members of the Sheriff’s Foundation for Public Safety, Toys for Tots and Fresno Insurance Claims Association. The group have been visiting the Valley Children’s Hospital for a few years and continue to keep the tradition, which provides gifts for the children in the hospital. The group visits several children in their rooms and give them a toy and game. It is such a gift to see the smiles in the children’s faces when receiving a gift from law enforcement. Even though some are struggling with their medication, they muster up a smile and accept their gift with joy. The is a heartwarming tradition that is enjoyed by everyone in attendance.
