Dallas Police Department honors officer of the year

DALLAS - The Dallas Police Department named Eric Barnes, who was recognized Wednesday morning.

Barnes joined the department in 2006 and is currently assigned to the Operation Disruption task force. His supervisors say he uses every resource available to law enforcement in order to locate wanted individuals and criminals.

“We’ll continue to work hard,” the officer said.
