End of Watch August 2, 2008

On August 2, 2008, Deputy Juan Abel Escalante was shot and killed outside of his home in Cypress, California. Deputy Escalante was leaving his residence early in the morning to go to work at the Los Angeles County Detention Center when he was shot and fatally wounded near his home.
